Home truths
This is a lived-in home, so parts of it are a little faded around the edges - if you're looking for somewhere cutting edge, perhaps try elsewhere.
It's going to take you about 30 minutes to get to Victoria Station using public transport, so not for a quick commute.
With an open fire, and pointy corners, this is definitely not a place that's suitable for your toddlers.

Local guide
About Chiswick
Chiswick is a riverside village turned desirable suburb, where attractive period properties and ample green spaces, together with a vibrant mix of independent shops and restaurants on its leafy High Road attract families who want to retreat to a part of London with a real community feel. It's not the place to stay if you want to explore the city's nightlife, but would be ideal for visitors wanting a peaceful retreat to return to after hectic sightseeing.
Explore the area
Local restaurants, cafes, museums, sites and activities, recommended by our community of hosts and travel experts

Enjoy Charlotte's bistro
This spot knows what makes an unmissable experience: combined modern European food, a flair for cocktails, sleek lines and elegant neutrals. It’s definitely worth trying a gin cocktail.

Enjoy a Bountiful Breakfast At Brew
Brew’s breakfast/brunch definitely packs a punch. Home-grown herbs and produce in every dish offer a healthy twist on comfort food, and the trendy café’s Australian roots guarantee a great flat-white.

Rejuvenate at Chief Coffee
This basement lounge at Chief’s Coffee combines quality coffee with classic pinball machines from the 80s and 90s – don’t worry if you don’t know what they’re doing, they offer lessons too.

Quaff a pint at The Duke of Sussex
With a phenomenal combination of British pub grub and Spanish themed delights, The Duke Of Sussex is an amazing place to while away the afternoon, enjoying the views over Acton Green.

Indulge at Hedone
Michelin Star Modern European cuisine in a laid back space with open brickwork and a cave painted ceiling. It has been recognised as being the 60th best restaurant in the 'WORLD' No fixed menu.

Sip Cocktails at the High Road House
Part of the exclusive Soho House group and a favourite celebrity haunt. Vintage interiors and mid-century furnishings in a members club with a brasserie. Open to non-members too.

Dine at La Trompette
Michelin star cuisine without the pomp and ceremony (or the price tag) of other London eateries. La Trompette will leave anyone in doubt about the quality of British cuisine thoroughly convinced.

Treat yourself with an ice-cream at Oddono's
Taking London by storm, Oddono’s is proof that Londoners will queue for the smoothest, creamiest icecream in London. My personal favourite is the pistachio.

Find something special at The Old Cinema
Housing antique furniture, homewares and 20th-century collectibles. Located on Chiswick High Street and once named among 'The 100 best shops' in the world. That says it all.

Expand your senses at Ngon
Ngon – Vietnamese for ‘delicious’ – is just that – it offers amazing phos, delicious salads and of course, the finest bubble tea.

Eat in style at Nadra
Michael Nadra Chiswick is one of the best east-meets-west dining experiences in the city – the food is as pretty as it is delicious.

Have Lunch at The Smokehouse
This fantastically smokey gastropub up the road has an informal dining area where you can tuck into a great Saturday brunch menu.

Host
This home is managed by James
This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. James is great, and came across very well when we met him. He’s generally pretty easygoing, but cares a lot about the important things that elevate your stay.
