Just a stone’s throw from Kensington Gardens, Cabriole scored highly during our visit, from the high quality furniture to the irresistible location. Being on the lower ground floor usually means there’s a lack of natural light, but the tranquil patio means that both the bedroom and the living room are bright and inviting. We really liked the opulent living area, with its striking mirrored wall and elegant wall sconces. The host's thoughtful touches, such as the fruit, wine and breakfast items she leaves for guests, means you will feel completely comfortable and welcome in this home.

Home truths
The third guest would be on a sofa bed in the living room, although we only recommend this for short stays
The dining table here is in the hallway
The fireplace is purely decorative
This is a lower ground floor home, so there's not much here in the way of views, although there is a small private garden
The kitchen here is very small and probably not the type of place you would want to cook for a lot of people
Light sleepers may want to bring an eye mask, as the bedroom blinds are not blackout
