A former wine merchant's shop turned into a home with personality and a good dose of character, this is the perfect apartment for a couple right in the centre of Paris. We loved the interesting architectural features and quirky nods to the home's enological past, such as the stone archway and vaulted ceilings in the bedroom – you'll feel like you're sleeping in a cosy wine cellar. Whipping up a meal is a breeze in the sleek kitchen – it has everything you need to prepare a French dinner, though there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants right on your doorstep if you don't feel like cooking. You'll find this apartment in the heart of the Left Bank, not far from the Seine and the bohemian Latin Quarter. This area is where many famous artists and writers found inspiration, and we can see why – think cobbled streets lined with cafes, jazz clubs and fine food shops, all just a stone's throw from landmarks like the Panthéon (two-minute walk), Luxembourg Gardens (ten minutes on foot) and Notre Dame (fifteen minutes away).
