Staying in Chinatown

Milan’s mainly pedestrianised Chinatown is the oldest and biggest Chinese district in Italy. Home truths

What the photos might not tell you, but we do

  • Unfortunately, this home isn't suitable for infants or children

  • As stylish as it is, the floating bed – with stairs that don't have a handrail – won't be for everybody

  • As this is a studio apartment, there's no real separation between the living and sleeping areas

  • The deep shower-bathtub combo is not suitable for those with limited mobility

  • There's a laptop-friendly workspace

  • Use of the washing machine comes at an additional cost at €5 per wash

  • The host asks that guests leave the sofa cover on

  • Paid street parking is available, but we recommend skipping the car and making use of Milan's public transport instead – Gerusalemme station is an eleven-minute walk away

  • Malpensa Airport is a forty-three-minute drive away
