Fantastically positioned for both the Old and New Towns, this apartment is a very good size, but more importantly, has some fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle. At a stretch, getting there takes maybe three minutes. We’d understand (although we wouldn’t be happy) if a home tried to make this prize location its selling point and didn’t pay attention to the interiors, but thankfully that isn’t the case here. We appreciated the mix of traditional features, such as the parquet flooring and the rich mahogany furnishings, with some bold modern inclusions, such as the vivid splashes of green used throughout and the minimalist artwork. Much like Edinburgh itself, this address strikes the right balance between old and new.
