Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
You'll find this apartment set in the bucolic gardens of a grand Italian estate in rural Lucca. Part of a farmhouse dating back to the 1400s, the space has been carefully reimagined into a family-friendly home full of character. Outside, there’s a private garden area for alfresco apéritifs, and in the wider communal grounds, woodland walks aplenty. Ready for a taste of Tuscan life? You’ll need a car to explore the nearby ancient towns of Barga, Coreglia, Lucca and Ghivizzano. Though Piano di Coreglia, with its cluster of local trattorias and shops, is walkable if you’ve not got little ones in tow.

Home truths
This home is part of an estate. While you’ll share the wider grounds with your neighbours, this apartment has a private entrance. A reception area, common room, and rechargeable e-bike station are also shared with other guests. The owner also lives in an on-site villa should you need anything during your stay.
If you’re travelling with little ones, a free cot and high chair can be provided. It’s also worth noting that there is an open-water feature within the grounds, so children will need to be supervised at all times.
The kitchen is small, and the traditional decor may not be to everyone's tastes.
We suggest hiring a car in this area. There are two parking spots available on the premises.

About Lucca
Lucca is one of Italy’s best-kept secrets. Surrounded by fortified walls, its core is a warren of pretty piazzas, traditional Tuscan trattorias, and beautifully preserved churches. Most of the action happens in Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, a vast central square lined with alfresco restaurants and Renaissance-era architecture. There’s a buzzy nightlife scene centred around cool enotecas and craft beer bars. On Via Fillungo, you’ll find some of Lucca’s finest boutiques, with high-end...
