Along with the sheer size, which makes it excellent for larger groups and multiple families, the home has pretty much every amenity you can think of, from the private spa (with sauna and steam room), two barbecues, enormous TVs, a games room, and even underfloor heating (a game-changer after skiing, trust us). Staying in North Tahoe
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
