Brimming with nautical charm and artsy appeal, Deal is the perfect place to escape city life and take to the sea. You'll find this lovely home smack-dab in the middle of it all, just one minute from the beach. Walk out the front door and stroll down to the seafront, blankets in hand, or head in the other direction for the dozens of pubs, cafes, eateries and unique shops on the high street. Stroll along the famous Deal pier for panoramic views of the sea, stopping at one of the excellent restaurants for a bite to eat when you're feeling peckish. The home itself is cosy and characterful, with exposed brick fireplaces, rug-covered wooden floors and original details everywhere you look. Light and bright thanks to the whitewashed walls, there's a bohemian vibe here that's fun and funky – think colourful, patterned cushions strewn on the cushy sofa, rattan baskets and leafy house plants scattered about. We love the modern kitchen – which has everything you need to rustle up a meal – as well as the three sumptuous bedrooms. But our favourite spot is the pretty courtyard. On summer evenings, fire up the barbecue for an alfresco meal in the sun, laughing and drinking wine as the light slowly fades. It can't get much better than that.
