This thoughtfully restored merchant's townhouse in Porto's Old Town would be perfect for a large family group. There's no need to worry about cooking up breakfast for everyone – the rate includes a sumptuous breakfast made using produce from local markets served in the sunny orangery. There's also the option to hire a private chef, should you wish to take the pressure off entirely. Two of the eight suites come with a balcony overlooking the leafy garden below for a quiet moment of reflection with your morning coffee. The living area is all sleek modernism and is packed with entertainment options – the Xbox should go down well with any teenagers in the group. Head out to the little courtyard to catch a ray of sunshine in the morning and there's a full, paved garden brimming with pot plants stretching behind the home. You're well-placed for exploration here – Trindade metro station is just around the corner, along with chic boutiques, vintage and antique shops and Porto town hall is a two-minute walk.
