Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Once upon a time, this home was used as a lookout hut for shepherds standing guard over their flocks. The sheep still wander the pastures today, but the hut has been transformed into a secluded sanctuary in the Kent countryside that let’s you step away from the human herd for a while. Lie in bed looking at the twinkling night stars through the giant picture window, or snuggle up around the wood burning stove or the fire pit outside. On summer days, open the sliding doors along the entire corner of the living area for the best of indoor/outdoor living. Soak in the hot tub after a long day (bet the shepherds didn’t have one of them), or pack a picnic and set out to explore the winding country trails and landscapes close by. Fifteen minutes in the car will bring you to the beach at Camber Sands, a rare sandy beach in East Sussex. And just a little further is the town of Rye, where you’ll discover ancient pubs used by smugglers, and enough artisanal food shops and restaurants to keep you fed no matter how long you’re here for.
