Set high on the cliffs of eastern Kefalonia, this villa for two feels secluded, yet it’s certainly not isolated as the vibrant town of Skala and its golden sandy beach are just a ten-minute drive away. That said, when you’ve got it this good you may not want to leave - the glorious infinity pool is yours to enjoy alone, and the panoramic views reach so far that you can just about make out the silhouette of mainland Greece in the distance. After a refreshing swim, dry off on the terrace with your glass of wine in hand, or if you’re feeling the heat, head into the air-conditioned lounge and enjoy the vista from inside. The fresh, modern interior is split over two levels with a bathroom on each floor, and sliding glass doors open the tranquil bedroom right up to the terrace so you can go from bed to pool in a few strides. Equally atmospheric in the evening, it will be a real occasion to crack open the bubbly and prepare dinner for two to share beneath a shimmering ceiling of stars.
