This gem overlooking the Fowey estuary, and a mere 100 metres from the water, is a great spot to enjoy a Cornish beach escape. Located in chic Fowey – there are stylish pubs and eateries, as well as boutiques and galleries aplenty on your doorstep. The golden sands of Readymoney Cove are a fifteen-minute stroll away, while St Catherine's Castle is twenty minutes on foot. Catch the ferry to Polruan (200 metres away) or visit the space age "biomes" of the Eden Project, just over five miles in the car. A twelve-minute ride, on the other hand, will take you to Menabilly – this beautiful headland inspired Daphne du Maurier, and it's easy to see why. Back at this home, the open plan living space is lovely and airy, thanks to its vaulted ceiling. We adore the estuary views from inside, as well as outside in the charming garden. It makes a gorgeous breakfast spot or the perfect place for a cream tea (remember, the Cornish way is jam, then cream on your scone). Alternatively, fire up the barbecue and grill some fresh seafood for dinner.
