A town of contrast, Padstow's modern dining scene and art galleries rub shoulders with its fishing fleet and historic cottages. And just 200 metres from the old harbour, this home couldn't be more in the heart of it all. You'll find all the modern comforts you need, but they're neatly wrapped up in a cosy and traditional space – so we're talking wood floors, sash windows, fireplaces and window seats. The nearest beach (and it's a cracker) is just a walk away and there are all sorts of boat trips from the harbour if you'd like to feel the seaspray on your face. When you get home, wash the salt off with an indulgent soak in the freestanding bathtub. You'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to eating and drinking nearby, or take the foot ferry ride across the River Camel to Rock, with its beautiful long, sandy beaches.
