Gordes doesn't get enough airtime in our opinion. It's one of France's best kept secrets, a jewel in the Provence region set back from the French Riviera. Beautiful and historic, this rural home is the perfect spot to explore Gordes from if you're visiting in a small group. It's a home that fits into the landscape, the pale cream stone outdoors distinctly of the area. That makes it charming, perfect for alfresco dining as the sun peeks through the surrounding cypress trees. Retracting French doors invite the balmy air inside, bathing the open-plan kitchen, living room and dining area in natural light. Take a dip in the glistening swimming pool, shared with other homes in the resort, before drying off on the sun loungers and taking an afternoon stroll through the gardens. There's an array of hiking paths and mountain bike routes nearby too, so you can explore spectacular Gordes with ease.
