This charming home offers the quintessential log cabin experience. Blanketed in snow for much of the year, it’s in a peaceful location, surrounded by ancient, evergreen forest. Sitting out on the deck you might spot woodpeckers and squirrels. Inside, you’ll find timbered walls, a welcoming living space centred around the wood burner and a traditional Finnish sauna that we could happily hunker down in for days. When you’re ready to explore, there’s plenty to enjoy outside too. You’re just 500m from Pyhä-Luosto National Park, with the main Luosto ski slopes 8km away; when conditions are good, the nearest ski track begins just 50m from the house. Spend your days carving up the powder, before coming back to your cosy cabin for a sauna or a hot chocolate by the roaring fire.
