Surfers have long since worshipped Croyde's rolling waves, walkers hiked along its coastline, and families played in the stretch of golden sand – and this home is suited to all three. Set on the outskirts of the village, the plot looks a bit like a giant beach hut, albeit, a hell of a lot more stylish. Wooden floorboards, arched ceilings, skylights and French doors characterise interiors, with unfussy white walls and a modern kitchen. If the weather is right, most of your time will be spent in the outdoor space, from coffee on the balcony and chilling on the loungers to organising big games nights with the home's toys. Evenings on the decking are unmissable – put someone on barbecue duty and plonk yourself on the long table to watch the sun dip below the rolling fields.
