Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
This Lucca home has been picked straight from the pages of an Italian fairytale. Set within the 16th-century Palazzo Cittadella, this characterful apartment marries history, local heritage and contemporary luxuries – think antique paintings, timber-beam ceilings, ornate chandeliers and tiled floors, with a Jacuzzi bath to boot. The living and dining spaces are the epitome of tasteful grandeur, but we think that you'll spend most of your time exploring the picture-perfect scene on your doorstep: the Piazza Cittadella, lined with cafes and colourful umbrellas. The Church of San Michele in Foro, dating back to the 1100s, is a two-minute walk away, while a five-minute stroll brings you to the Torre delle Ore – climb to the top for some of the Walled City’s best views. If you’d prefer to explore on two wheels, there’s a bicycle rental place 50 metres from your building. And for trips further afield, the historic city of Pisa and Viareggio’s seaside are within half an hour’s drive.
