This rustic-chic home overlooking Lake Trasimeno offers everything you could possibly want from an Umbrian holiday. Serving up panoramic lake views, the hillside villa is just two kilometres from the heart of Magione, where you’ll find a bounty of bars, trattorias, cafes, and gelateria. You’d be forgiven for never wanting to leave this home though – not only will the views from the pool make you stop and stare, but the serene decor and luxurious little touches will make this a holiday to remember. Exposed wooden beams and stone walls reveal the history of the villa, while natural textiles and considered splashes of colour add a touch of modernity. There’s even a Finnish sauna to unwind in after a day at the beach, and an immersive, LED shower designed to create a feeling of intense relaxation and revitalisation. Finish off the day with a homecooked meal at the outdoor dining table, accompanied by the finest Italian wine. Brimming with history, there’s no better way to spend a morning than wandering these ancient streets, taking in the sights, and stopping for a reviving espresso. You’re also just twenty-five kilometres from Perugia, and within an easy drive of Assisi, should you be seeking a cultural day trip.
