Many of us dream of living la dolce vita, tucking ourselves somewhere in remote Italy and living off pasta, local delicacies and wine – heaven. Well, here in Cortona you can do just that. This classic Tuscan home, sat in the town's ancient winding streets will give you a taste of Italian life. Sprawling over three floors, there are traditional touches in every room; from the country-style breakfasting table and 19th-century dresser in the otherwise modern kitchen, to the monk seat sofa in the living area. Terracotta tiled floors keep things cool underfoot and splashes of yellow from canary walls and sunflower vases add some sunny colour. By day you can wander the town's ancient streets and learn about its Etruscan roots and by night you can either stroll in search of one of the many traditional restaurants or settle in your apartment with a bowl of pasta. Bellissima!
