You can't get much closer to Loch Ness than this. Situated 20 metres from the water’s edge, this cosy two-bedroom cottage boasts stunning vistas of the lake – you're even provided with a telescope to get a better view of the wildlife (and maybe another famous inhabitant). You'll feel right at home as soon as you arrive – the cosy interiors have been designed by Scottish furnishings maker ANTA, and classic tartan prints adorn the homeware and bedding. Spend your mornings in the garden listening to the birdsong before heading out to explore your surroundings. There are plenty of Highland hikes in the area, and if you're wanting to get a closer look at the loch, try a cruise – there's a jetty just 50 metres from your door. On colder days, curl up on the leather sofa in the living room in front of the fire, or settle back in an armchair with a book. When you start to feel peckish, you'll find everything you need in the kitchen to cook a warming meal. And as night falls, the place becomes an excellent dark sky location for stargazers.
