A stay on Sunset Boulevard doesn’t get much better than this. In a secluded spot, this light-filled, sun-drenched home is high in the hills above Santa Monica, bracketed by the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by tall trees and privacy-providing hedges, this stunning home makes liberal use of Crittall-style windows to illuminate its thoughtful and beguiling interior. With light streaming in through a wall of windows, it’s hard not to fall in love with the glamorous dining area, although there’s a strong chance you’ll be wanting to dine alfresco at the vast outdoor table on the shaded terrace. Out here, you’ll also find a comfy chill-out zone that’s perfect for evening drinks, your private bar, a treehouse to keep the kids entertained, and a freeform pool and hot tub. Back inside and the home is all clean lines, white marble, honey-hued wood and the occasional pop of vibrant colour, with classic gold accents. We love the vast master bedroom with its four-poster bed, fireplace, and en-suite with rolltop tub and aquamarine-tiled shower. The other three bedrooms are very much kid’s rooms, but they’re so elegantly and beautifully decorated we think it's fair to say most adults will feel very much at home here too, as they will in the well-stocked games room.
