Turn your head the other way and you'll see the London Aquatics Centre, which hosted the pool events at the games. As well as being easy on the eye — the work of architect Zaha Hadid, no less — you can go for a swim in this iconic venue if you fancy. Speaking of striking design, this home's interior deserves some plaudits, too.
