This traditional farm cottage peacefully beckons many a guest seeking a country retreat and time away from the daily 9 to 5. Sitting pretty on a quiet lane in the picture-perfect village of Donnington, yet just a five-minute drive to Stow-on-the-Wold, you’ll find this effortlessly stylish home. Roll-top baths, sumptuous beds, and muted, tasteful interiors ramp up the luxe factor, whilst exposed beamed ceilings and original fireplaces bring all the charm. At the heart of the home is a wonderfully bright and open living space, with a kitchen that’s made for action. Bring loved ones together around the breakfast bar each morning, or for something more atmospheric, take the short flight of stairs up to the mezzanine dining area and enjoy glimpses out to the classically beautiful English garden outside. With plenty of space for both lounging and dining, this private, enclosed garden is the place to be on sunny evenings. But if you fancy downing the kitchen tools, you’re not as remote as you might think. You’ll find a charming pub in neighbouring Broadwell for a pint and bite to eat, just a fifteen-minute walk away. Or jump in the car and you’ll be in the chocolate-box village of Stow-on-the-wold in less than five minutes, where you’ll find lively gastro-pubs and all the cheese and fudge your hearts could desire.
