Originally built in 1690, the building this home is set in served as a residence for the University of Edinburgh and as Red Cross Headquarters during WWII. Today, you'll find a modern and inviting private home, where you’ll be greeted by a colourful and characterful space – think white walls with original mouldings, vibrant candy-coloured rugs and beautiful prints hanging on the walls. There’s also a classic piano for evenings spent in the sociable dining room, gathered around a home-cooked feast with your own personal soundtrack and pretty views of the neighbourhood. The bedrooms are similarly styled, with lovely wall details and traditional fireplaces complemented by gold accents, antique mirrors and colourful carpets and throws. Get cosy and recharge before heading out into the picturesque heart of the city. You’ll be just a three-minute walk from the majestic Edinburgh Castle and five minutes from the historic Old Town. Spend lovely mornings strolling through the greenery at the Princess Street Gardens, just four minutes away before you get lost in the maze of the city.
