A coastal bungalow with a retro theme, this seventies-inspired home is packed with character. Inside, you'll find elegant mid-century furniture, psychedelic wallpaper and a record player sitting seamlessly alongside all the mod cons – this quirky home offers the best of both worlds. The living room is our favourite in the house, and while there's central heating, nothing beats lighting a fire and cosying up around the wood burner on a blustery day. On the other side of the coin, the south-facing garden is a real suntrap during the warmer months, though you'll need to walk through the second bedroom to access it. The garden is fully enclosed, so you can let the kids roam free, plus there's a playground within walking distance for when they need to blow off some steam. A short drive away, you'll find the vast three-mile-long stretch of Saunton Sands, backed by Braunton Burrows, home to the oldest golf course in England. Continue around the headland, and you'll arrive in the cool coastal village of Croyde – a hotbed of local surfing talent. You can also enjoy quick access to miles of traffic-free cycling along the picturesque (and mostly flat) Tarka Trail.
