Upon entering this well-situated home in the Barracks Row district of Washington DC, you'll be pleasantly welcomed by the whimsical front courtyard behind a wrought iron gate. Pretty flowerbeds and a red-bricked pathway lead the way to the stunning 1930's building inside which this humble studio resides. Laid-out as a one-room studio space, the home is best suited to a solo traveller or a couple in town on a short stay, however, the sofa pulls out as an extra bed if required. One of the first things you'll notice as you walk in is the expansive black-framed windows that line the building and ensure your apartment is well lit throughout the day. Meanwhile, contemporary furnishings create a practical yet stylish space without compromising on home comforts. Once you've settled in, head out to discover the local neighbourhood known as the first post of the Marine Corps – in fact, this address is right across the street from the Navy Yard. Fashionable boutiques, quality cafes and plenty of green park spaces give this part of the city its identity. Just a five-minute drive away, you'll also find the timeless museums and historical landmarks that surround the U.S Capitol and the White House. With Whole Foods just a three-minute drive away and an array of bakeries, eclectic eateries and beer gardens within walking distance you'll have convenience at your fingertips in this prime location.
