Just a pleasant, half-hour stroll from the centre of Cheltenham, this home in Charlton Kings is part of a period building with a pretty front garden. Smartly modernised, it's a sleek apartment that's been cleverly extended. Now boasting a big open-plan living space at the back, it's light and bright thanks to a huge ceiling lantern and a set of impressive bi-folding doors. Slide them open and you're out in the large, private garden – where an outdoor table means you can spill out and eat here on summer evenings. A more snug living room lies elsewhere in the flat, and one of the bedrooms is set away from the rest – perfect if you're going to need some peace and quiet while you're here. In the surrounding streets, you'll find all sorts of restaurants, coffee shops and pubs, and there's a well-stocked shop a few steps away so you can easily grab some groceries.
