Situated on the Suffolk sunrise coast, Pakefield is a charming village brimming with laid-back seaside character. It's home to sandy shores lined with colourful beach huts, fishing boats bobbing on the bay and plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants to whet your appetite – and this apartment is in the heart of it all, just a five-minute walk from the beach. Step through the front door into a calm, characterful living space. We love the coastal-inspired design – even when you're not sprawled out on the sand, you'll be able to enjoy that beachy feeling. On sunny days, grab a bottle of wine (your host leaves one for you on arrival) and take advantage of the pretty courtyard. Fire up the barbecue and dine alfresco, or simply savour a cup of tea in the fresh air or cocktails in the evenings while admiring the sunset. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the cookware and crockery you'll need if you fancy cooking, but if you'd prefer to take it easy, there's a selection of board games to keep you entertained – pick out a favourite and set up camp by the fire for a night filled with family fun.

About Southwold
Visiting Southwold as a child is an experience you’ll never forget, and you’re unlikely to as an adult either. The pier, with its traditional pavilion, might look like any other late-Victorian pier from the outside, but it’s a must-visit in this seaside town. What makes Southwold Pier different is its arcade of humorous, quirky, coin-operated machines. Created by the inventor Tim Hunkin, they feature a range of eccentric – and...
