Only built in 2021, this log cabin by Lake Myllyjärvi is the stuff of dreams. One wall of the home has been constructed purely out of glass, so you can admire the vista while sitting around the dining table or getting toasty around the fireplace. Stepping out through the door will take you to the covered terrace complete with seating and a barbecue ready for bursts of warm weather and just beyond that is another seating area arranged around a fire pit. There's also a rowboat out here that guests can borrow to paddle on the lake. The real star of the show, however, is situated a few metres away from the main home. We all know that Finns love a sauna, but this cupola-style outhouse is taking it to the next level. As well as a wood-burner sauna stove, there's a dressing room, shower and kitchenette inside for the full spa experience. The nearest town for provisions is Padasjoki only fifteen minutes' drive away, but the larger city of Lahti — complete with the Sibelius Hall concert venue — takes just under an hour to reach by car.
