Bookended by rolling green fields, valleys and walking trails, this cosy cottage is the perfect retreat for those exploring the Peak District. Inside, there's an open-plan living space with whitewashed walls, wooden beams and stone fixtures, creating a modern yet cosy feel. On chilly days, warm your toes in front of the fire, taking turns to stoke the log burner and top up glasses of wine. We particularly liked the dog-legged stairwell, wrought-iron chandelier and the photography of the local area adorning the walls. Speaking of, fill up your flask, put those walking boots on, and explore this beautiful natural landscape right on your doorstep. Hike up Manifold Valley, seek out Thors Cave, and reach Wetton Mill in less than an hour from home. Further afield, the charming villages of Ashbourne and Dovedale are just fifteen minutes' drive away. Or, if you'd prefer to expend a little more energy, it's only twenty minutes in the car from Alton Towers.

About The Peak District

The Peak District is England and Wales’ oldest national park, and its varied landscapes are a clue as to why the region was the first to be bestowed with the distinction. The park’s diversity can be appreciated by taking the time to explore both the so-called Dark Peak to the north, where you’ll find acres of moorland stretching out in front of you, and the limestone gorges and valleys of...
