Boasting a prime location in the Alpe d’Huez ski resort, this chalet makes for the perfect base. Alpe d’Huez is at the heart of the Isère region of the French Alps, known as the island of sunshine because it gets 300 days of sun a year. Add in beautiful ski conditions and incredible cycling trails in the summer, and you can see why we love this chalet so much. You’re just a two-minute walk from the free shuttle that takes you into the centre of the resort, so you can be out on the slopes in no time. Part of the Grand Domaine ski area, the resort has slopes that suit every level of skier – if you’re a beginner, there’s no need to fret. Time off the slopes can be just as enjoyable, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, and Grenoble just an hour and nineteen minutes away. The chalet is comfortable and cosy, the perfect place to curl up with a mug of cocoa in front of the fire. The sauna is a dream for aching muscles, whether you’ve spent your day skiing, snowboarding, or cycling – one of the Tour de France routes is nearby. In the mornings, sip coffee on the balcony and take in the view. Breathe in the mountain air while you ponder the day ahead. However you spend your time, you’ll be glad of this convenient and comfortable home.
