Discover the wilds of the Northumberland's coast with a stay at a contemporary apartment set in Seahouses (a seaside town, if you hadn't already guessed) and just a ten-minute stroll from its bustling harbour and vast dune-fringed beach. Take a mosey into the centre for a dose of British seaside nostalgia with fish and chips, sandcastle making, and rock pooling at the beach. Then hop on a boat trip and journey to Farne Islands – it's Attenborough's favourite place in the UK to see nature at its best, don't you know. Or cast your net further along the coast to Bamburgh with its mighty 11th-century castle (a seven-minute drive or one hour walk along the coastal path). Back at the apartment, the fresh, pristine interiors are a joy to return home to. And while there's no outdoor space to speak of, we don't think you'll mind with the harbour and beach so close. In the high-shine kitchen, the breakfast bar is an excellent spot for a tete a tete while one of you prepares a bite to eat. Or there's a bakery and pub dangerously close (a two-minute stroll away) if you'd rather keep things simple. And when it comes to an evening's end, you'll love how spacious the bedroom feels with a king-sized bed decked out in the crispest white linens.
