Paying homage to the glitz and glamour of the Art Deco era – the same period when Truro Cathedral was completed – this apartment harks back to a time when fun and frivolity were all the rage, with an added dose of 21st-century dazzle. Housed in a Grade II listed townhouse dating back to1809, it captures the timeless style of a bygone era with its playful colour palettes and plush furnishings, all while giving you a comfortable, modern base to call home. We love the rich jewel tones featured in the open-plan living area and the ample natural night that flows in from the glass door that leads out onto a private balcony. Sit here with your morning coffee or evening sundowner while drinking in views of the cathedral’s towering spires silhouetted against the clear Cornish blue sky. Then head back inside for a meal at the snazzy round dining table with its blush pink seats before settling in for a restful night’s sleep in the bijoux bedroom. When it comes to sightseeing, you’re right in the heart of the city with Truro Cathedral a three-minute walk away, the Royal Cornwall Museum a five-minute stroll and the Victoria Gardens eight minutes away on foot. Elsewhere, sandy Perranporth Beach – the only UK beach to have a pub on it – is a twenty minuted drive away, as is St Agnes where you’ll find surf schools, charming cafés and myriad independent boutiques.
