Don't be fooled by the olde worlde exteriors of this cottage sitting pretty in rural West Cornwall and yet just a seven-minute drive to the coast. Step inside, and this home offers plenty of space for a group of friends or family on a Cornwall escape – and bags of character and style to boot. Part of a small collection of holiday houses on the lands of a former farm, this old barn dwelling has been beautifully reimagined into a stylish home united by restful, elegant interiors. Cosy up in the open-plan sitting room, complete with a state-of-the-art electric fire (no need to faff about with kindling and logs here). Or, when the sun shines, mosey out through the French doors onto the delightful enclosed garden boasting a bubbly electric hot tub, barbecue for alfresco meals, and a lawned space for little ones and furry friends alike to run amuck. When it's time to spread your wings, pack up your bucket and spades, and hit the coast. Marazion, with its vast, sandy beaches and the mighty St Michael's Mount, is just a seven-minute drive away. And a smidge further, the golden sands and wander-worthy streets of St Ives (a fifteen-minute drive) for all the fish and chips and ice creams you could muster and a spot of culture at the Tate St Ives thrown in for good measure.
