This chic little apartment is on Wendtorf Marina, one of the most popular sailing harbours in the region. The home couldn’t be closer to the water, so if you’re a keen sailor you’ll be thrilled. There’s plenty to keep others entertained too though – the Bottsand Nature Reserve and sandy beaches surround the harbour. It takes just fifteen minutes to walk to Düne in Stein beach, where you can swim, build sandcastles or simply take in the view. The apartment is warm and comfortable, with wonderful views of the water. The fireplace keeps things cosy in the evenings, and there are plenty of comfy sofas to curl up on with a good book. If you fancy taking a break from cooking, you might drive thirty-four minutes to the harbour city of Kiel, where there’s a great choice of restaurants.
