Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

For a summer escape that you’ll think of for the rest of the year, this home in Sweden really ticks every box. The home is bright, comfortable and spacious, with lake views. Best of all, a short private path leads to a lakeside beach where guests can go swimming or set off in the rowing boat. The house is surrounded by land, with a large lawn that little ones will love to play on, and a barbecue that’s ideal for alfresco meals in the sunshine. Start your day with a swim in the lake then dry off in the sun on the beach. You might then return to the house for a family breakfast prepared in the country kitchen. Next, you’ll have to decide whether to curl up with a good book on the patio, in the living room or if you’ll head out on foot or in the boat to explore the area. There’s a pretty chapel next door that’s a copy of the historic Hedared Stave Church. This home is in a truly beautiful spot on a peninsula next to Frisjön, a twenty-five-minute drive from Borås, where you can go shopping or visit the zoo. However you spend your time here, you’re sure to want to return again soon.

About Sweden

A wonderland of lush green rolling hills, Arctic northern lights, seemingly endless archipelagos, and cosmopolitan cities, Sweden is so much more than Vikings and that sateen-flare-swinging foursome from the ’70s. A country rich in food, history, tradition, and lifestyle, there’s something for everyone’s wanderlust here. Stockholm rightly takes much of the limelight – and it’s easy to see why. With a buzzing fashion and food scene, green parks, shores for...
