Designed by artist and New York native Jack Ceglic, this stunning home in Water Mill is an ode to the farming communities of the East End. You'll find it tucked away in a private enclave of Ceglic-designed dwellings, promising tranquillity amidst a cocoon of lush foliage. From the outset, its steel and aluminium exterior, inspired by the simplicity of agricultural sheds, instantly impresses and is echoed through an industrial-chic design aesthetic. Inside, twenty-foot walls are adorned with vibrant artwork while floor-to-ceiling windows usher in floods of sunlight, beckoning you to unwind in the radiance of nature. An open-plan concept, grounded by heated concrete floors, seamlessly blends each of the living spaces. Nestled between the stylish lounge and dining area, a striking commercial-grade kitchen is primed for entertaining with stainless steel appliances and a sleek breakfast bar. Tucked away in a quiet corner, we especially love the built-in library, with its curated array of art publications and majestic wooden desk. Here, glass doors lead to one of three private walled gardens, providing the perfect reading set-up. Outdoors, two acres of fenced landscaped grounds offer endless opportunities to soak up the Hamptons sun. Swim laps in the heated gunite pool, lounge poolside on the mahogany decking and fire up the grill to prepare an alfresco feast. Come sunset, gather around the fire pit to toast marshmallows under the stars before retreating to the lavish sleeping quarters for a restful slumber.

If you've seen a TV show set in New York, you’ve most likely heard of the Hamptons. This stretch of coast is the summer retreat par excellence – each little town, village or hamlet has its...
