Meanwhile, kids and furry friends can run off some energy on the lawns – the village park, just a one-minute walk away, can help with that too. When it's time for some seaside nostalgia, spend bucket-and-spade days down on Salcombe's sandy beaches – just a twenty-minute scenic stroll along the coastal path past the ruins of the village's castle fort. Up the ante with sailing, kayaking, and surfing on the estuary (a five-minute stroll away).
