If we're to be completely honest, not everybody will be smitten by this apartment in the centre of Rome, especially when the small size is taken into consideration. However, those with a passion for stylish design are sure to fall for its unique charm. The home sits within a 20th-century building that has been renovated by the French architect Jean Nouvel. The end result is a multifunctional space that includes this apartment, which blends industrial and minimalist trends to striking effect. You only have to look at the stainless steel kitchen and bathroom, as well as the monochrome sleeping quarters, to see what we mean. Elsewhere in the building, there's an art gallery, restaurant and outdoor spaces that overlook the city skyline on the upper floors. Another big perk comes with the excellent location. In the space of ten minutes, you can wander over to the Colosseum and Imperial Forums, while Circus Maximus takes half that time to reach.

About The Jewish Quarter

The Ghetto of Rome was witness to some of the worst excesses of anti-semitism of the last 500 years. It was established by Papal decree in 1555, when all Roman Jews were consigned to a three hectare patch of the city, best known for its propensity to flood, and limited to jobs as fishmongers, ragmen and pawnbrokers. More than 300 years of segregation were only ended in 1870, when many...

Host

This home is managed by Simone

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Roberto and his team look after the apartments in the Alda Fendi Foundation – one of the most stylish buildings in the city (it was recently renovated by the architectural superstar Jean Nouvel). The level of service they offer is mind-boggling, with pretty much everything you can think of (or certainly that we could think of) on the table.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.

  • Great hosts, not just great homes – We reject homes managed by hosts who don’t meet our standards of excellence.
