Sitting in the middle of the Eixample district, this apartment combines together several schools of design to make for an interior that feels effortlessly cool. The exposed brickwork and bare lightbulbs above the dining table borrow from industrial trends, while there's definitely a Scandi influence in the preference for wooden furnishings and finishes. That being said, there are aspects that are typical of Catalan homes, like the pretty floor tiling and high ceilings. It's far from being a case of style over substance, however. There's a generous amount of space considering that the apartment's intended only for two people, especially in the kitchen. Another big perk is the fact that there's a balcony on which you can sit and people-watch over the street below. When you've exhausted that avenue, there's plenty to see and do in the local area. Passeig de Gràcia — the thoroughfare on which Casas Milà and Batlló can be found — is only five minutes' walk away, while the Gothic Quarter is just over a quarter of an hour away by public transport.
