Ideally located in Barcelona’s historic Gothic Quarter, this sunny apartment not only puts you in a prime spot to explore the city’s most famous sights but equally offers a comfortable base from which to soak up those famous Spanish rays. Undoubtedly, this home’s crowning jewel is its private sun-baked terrace, accessed via the living room’s sliding glass doors. Choose one of the Acalpuco chairs on which to while away the hours – a good book and a cool drink in hand – or gather around the outdoor table for an alfresco feast as the light fades over the rooftops. Inside, the decor is contemporary and chic with a nod to the Scandinavian principle of hygge. We love the sociable breakfast bar here, as well as the kitchen’s black and white tiled floor, while the bedrooms’ nature-inspired art and beautifully dressed beds offer a dreamy canvas for a restful night’s sleep. And when it comes to sightseeing nearby, you’re spoilt for choice – Plaça de Catalunya is a four-minute walk, the Cathedral of Barcelona is a five-minute stroll and Ciutadella Park is fifteen minutes away on foot. With Barceloneta Beach just under a thirty-minute walk away as well as countless tapas restaurants and bars in your neighbourhood, you’re all set for a good time.
