Days end as beautifully as they began at this immaculate cottage set on an exclusive lakeside estate poised between Dorchester and the beautiful Lulworth Cove of Dorset's Jurassic Coast. A shining example of contemporary lakeside living, there's laid-back lounging in the open-plan living space with bi-fold doors opening up onto a private garden that's prime for evening barbecues. While over in the pared-back, minimalist bedrooms, expect direct access to that impressive wraparound balcony to steal a glimpse of the lake and one big hug of a king-sized bed in the main bedroom with a luxurious ensuite bathroom. When it's time to explore the great outdoors, how do hundreds of acres of outstanding natural habitats and four playgrounds for the kids sound? Take your pick from bikes, canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards to set off on an adventure – you'll have complimentary access to them all during your stay. In need of some indulgence and relaxation? The estate's spa delivers the goods with candlelit treatment rooms, sauna, swimming pool, and a rooftop bar and restaurant for some post-soak cocktails and nibbles. While it would be easy to hunker down in this sanctuary for slow living and never leave, there's much to discover along the Jurassic Coast, with sweeping golden beaches, grand historic houses, cobblestone market towns, and idyllic country pubs all a short drive away. Your only dilemma will be deciding where to head first.

This royal visitor left his mark on the area and well-preserved examples of Georgian architecture can still be seen along the sea front. To this...

Host
This home is managed by Oliver
This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Nearly twenty years ago, Oliver and his friend began curating the world's most unique and rustic getaways. Driven by their own unforgettable experience at a chateau, they have grown remarkably since then. Much like Plum, they believe in hand-picked luxury that doesn't break the bank.
