Exposed red-brick walls and a poured concrete staircase; this Williamsburg townhouse has every architectural detail we’ve come to expect from a stylish Brooklyn pad. Apart from oozing indie New York charm at every corner, this place has been set up with families in mind – with books and toys galore, a second sitting room for the kids to spread out in, and a backyard with air hockey and table tennis. For the grown-ups, there are modern artworks worthy of an exhibition in the MoMA on display, a barbecue grill and plenty of tables and chairs outside for a tipple in the evening sun. In terms of location, you’re on the edge of Williamsburg, where the streets are filled with indie restaurants, hipster coffee shops, craft breweries and secret arthouse cinemas in old industrial buildings. Plus, the subway can whisk you into the centre of Manhattan in around fifteen minutes.
