Wine cellar, hydromassage bathtubs, and a private Finnish sauna? With all that and more, it's no wonder this Croatian villa has R&R written all over it. Every inch is positively brimming with places to unwind – be it the sun-kissed terrace perfect for alfresco dining, the cosy living space ideal for afternoon snoozes or the spa-worthy indoor pool just begging for long, leisurely swims on chilly evenings. Set over three levels, larger groups will have plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. When you're in the mood to socialise, the sleek kitchen and eight-seater dining table call for family dinners and laughter-filled conversation. Afterwards, kids can head down to the indoor pool for a quick bubble in the Jacuzzi-style tub, while grown-ups crack open a bottle of Croatian's finest in the wine cellar. Of course, the outdoor pool is hard to resist, too, especially when those clear blue skies and that summer sunshine are out in full force – and the views aren't bad, either. Fancy exploring? You're just 6km from the centre of Šilo on the island of Krk. Known for its charming old town, beautiful beaches and picturesque coves, we suggest starting your adventure with a dip in the calm waters of the Adriatic, followed by a wander through the cobbled streets in town.

Byron called Dubrovnik the “Pearl of the Adriatic” and there’s no denying the beauty of Croatia’s most popular city (the location scouts for Game of Thrones certainly thought so). Within the ancient walls of Dubrovnik, sand-hued buildings with orange rooftops jut out into the azure sea. That’s not the only pearl Croatia is hiding.
