This garden level apartment is a perfect bolthole for a couple or individual wanting a practical base in Harlem. It's part of a beautiful, historic brownstone building, and opens up onto a beautiful, jungly garden, which is shared with the tenants upstairs. It might not be the most spacious or high-end of our New York homes, but it's certainly a comfortable base and has some great art on the walls.

Katrin is a jewellery designer who was born in Germany, and educated in Switzerland, England and China. While studying Chinese and Archaeology in China she travelled extensively in the Far East. Katrin was immediately captured by the spirit of New York when she came for a vacation in 1991 and her love affair with the city has been growing for almost thirty years now.
