Set off on a great escape to this Sicilian villa for two perched high in the hillsides overlooking the charming town of Noto and the dazzling Mediterranean sea beyond. Beautifully styled outside and in, you can delight in every moment here. Start your morning by padding across the smooth, concrete floors from your bedroom onto the vast panoramic terraces to drink up the sea views over freshly brewed coffees and a lazy breakfast. Then the rest of the day is yours to lose yourself to a good book beneath the shady olive trees and worship the Sicilian sunshine from the pool with a view. It's a vista that's just as impressive at night when the moon shines brightly over the surrounding hillsides and the lights of Noto flicker on. Should you ever be persuaded to leave this idyll for two, the soft sandy shores of San Lorenzo are just a six kilometres drive. You can always swing by the baroque town of Noto first (two miles away) to pick up picnic supplies. Or search out one of the stylish beach clubs for alfresco lunches and a glass of crisp Catarratto instead – you've earnt it.
