About 25 miles southwest of London lies Windlesham, a tiny village in the heart of Surrey's sprawling countryside. A haven for golfing and rambling, guests wanting to switch off from city life will love to call this place home. Start the morning with a wander through Lightwater Country Park, then practice your swing on the many golf courses in the area. After a day in the fresh air, crawl into one of the gastropubs for a cold pint and a hearty meal – sounds like an excellent way to end the evening. Back at home, this light-filled apartment has cosy comfort written all over it. Not only does the open-plan living space reflect the sunlight, but it makes socialising a breeze. Rest your feet for a bit on the plush velvet sofa before showing off your culinary skills in the sleek kitchen. The dining table, meanwhile, is the perfect place to plan your adventures or share a bottle of wine alongside your dinner, and the rainfall shower and attached bathtub are sure to entice following a trek through the countryside.
