Surrounded by the rolling green hills, olive groves and fruit trees of Ancona, this beautifully restored Italian farmhouse is perfectly placed for exploring the Marche region. Dating back to the early 20th century, you'll be living with pieces of history here, from the antique Trani stone floors to the majestic marble steps recouped from an old monastery. Spend your days gliding across the private infinity pool, or relaxing with a good book on a comfy sun lounger. The garden is a peaceful oasis, full of fruit trees and encircled by cultivated fields that change colour with the seasons. If you do fancy a change of scene, however, the charming village of Filottrano is within easy distance, which offers churches, aristocratic palaces and stylish shops. Be sure to pick up some fresh ingredients while you're there, then head home to cook some authentic Italian pizzas in the wood-fired oven. As evening falls, admire the spectacular sunset from the patio as you tuck into a rustic feast, washed down with a glass of local wine. If the night turns chilly, head back indoors to get cosy around the fireplace, or admire the views from the bathtub while you enjoy a long soak.
