Could this 18th-century Grade II listed Cotswold cottage be more idyllic? We think not – it’s beautiful. From its warm stone façade, exposed wooden beams, natural stone flooring and mullion windows to its gorgeous courtyard garden, it’s just perfect. On warm sunny summer days, relax with a glass of wine in the garden, surrounded by roses, hydrangea and poppies. Or when the weather turns colder, snuggle up by a roaring log burner set into the charming inglenook fireplace. The library has lovely village green views, and if you can take your eyes away from the vistas, there are books, DVDs and board games to keep you entertained. It must be said that we adore the main bedroom with its rural outlook, four-poster king-size bed, and the en-suite with its freestanding bath and large walk-in rain shower. Situated in the pretty village of Little Barrington, there’s an award-winning country pub, which is set alongside the River Windrush. Enjoy a hearty meal after a countryside walk or bike ride, perhaps. Alternatively, just three miles away, you’ll find the chocolate-box town of Burford, which has an array of independent shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants. There’s also a Co-op for your shopping essentials. Other attractions include Stow-on-the-Wold, Cirencester, Bourton-on-the-Water and Kingham, as well the Cotswold Wildlife Park, Birdland Park and Gardens and Asthall Manor.
