Set within a Haussmann building, this splendid apartment embraces the distinctive feel of the French capital. High ceilings and a wall of French windows in the living room hark back to the 19th century along with the herringbone floor. Wrought-iron railings create Juliet-style balconies when the windows are open, looking across the charming boulevard to equally handsome sandstone buildings. Crisp white walls keep things feeling fresh and breezy, and the book-stuffed shelves make it seem as though an author or philosopher might stay here.
